Herbal Tea Recipe

Herbal teas are a delicious and healthy drink.

Unlike black tea and coffee, herbal teas are beverages without the theine and the caffeine, that are central nervous system stimulant and can produce a mild form of drug dependence.

There are a lot of combinations of herbal teas, so there is one for every taste. You can combine different herbs to get all the benefit of them.

Here at the Arhanta Yoga Ashram we offer an herbal tea based on Fennel seeds, Cinnamon, Clove and Pepper.

Herbal Tea Recipe

Fennel seeds have many health benefiting nutrients, essential compounds, anti-oxidants, fiber, minerals and vitamins, they are antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, digestive and rich in calcium and potassium.

Cinnamon is also, as fennel seeds, an antioxidant, antiseptic and antibacterial, and digestive herb as well.

Cloves offer also many benefits: providing aid for digestion, having antimicrobial properties, fighting against cancer, protecting the liver, boosting the immune system, controlling diabetes.

Black pepper is very good to stimulate the digestive system and metabolism.

So the combination of these four different spices is perfect after dinner and before going to bed.

Furthermore this herbal tea has a very nice and balanced taste because it combines the sweet taste of cinnamon, sour of fennel seeds, salt of cloves and pungent of pepper.

Recipe

Ingredients:

3 teaspoons of fennel seeds

1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder

3 cloves

1 peppercorn

Mix these ingredients in a grinder and use 1 teaspoon for cup
