Kalyani Hauswirth Jain

About the course teacher,

Kalyani Hauswirth-Jain

(ERYT-200 and YACEP with 11,000 hours of teaching experience)

Kalyani was born and raised in Switzerland. From early childhood, she has been fascinated by art, bodywork, the body-mind connection, and alternative therapies. Following her strong inclination for art and physical expression, she emigrated to the Netherlands at 19 to study modern dance. Soon after, she was exposed to the teaching and practice of yoga and developed an intrinsic interest in it. Now the mother of two children, she has been teaching yoga since 2007, training yoga teachers since 2012 at the Arhanta Yoga ashrams in India and the Netherlands.

Starting with physical challenges, she transformed her body, mastering many advanced asanas with regular practice and discipline. By following diligent self-practice and working with many teachers, styles, and techniques, she gained a profound understanding of physiology and movement techniques. This, in combination with her extensive teaching experience, gave her an understanding of the importance of structure and sequencing for a holistic yoga asana practice.

Helma

"Really nice to come back for the third time. It’s like coming home. I needed a little time to settle again, but after the first time teaching class, it all returned, and I felt confident in myself. I feel I grew a lot. Vinyasa Yoga is physically heavy but very challenging to do. I feel more confident in myself every day. Vinyasa Yoga is very powerful and challenging for students and teachers. Good for my personal development, mentally and physically."

Helma- The Netherlands

Anne

"The Vinyasa Yoga course is a very nice course to complement the 200-hour TTC Hatha Yoga course. It is an intensive course where you go deeper into philosophy and anatomy and you bring your own practice towards a more advanced level. It also inspires your hatha teaching as you learn new varieties and techniques."

Anne- Germany

Halima

"I like the way you teach us. You are very patient and help everybody reach their goals. I can recommend the ashram to everybody who loves to do yoga in a more real traditional way. No nonsense, hard work, good advice and with care. Thank you."

Frequently asked questions

Is This Course Right for You?

  • You want to teach Vinyasa Yoga full-time or part-time
  • You teach some form of yang physical exercises and you want to include Vinyasa Yoga elements in your classes
  • You want to understand Vinyasa Yoga in depth
  • You want to bring your practice to a new level

Do I have to be very experienced in yoga to do this course?

Our Vinyasa yoga certification course is suitable for beginners. Prior experience is beneficial but not required.

For the most vital teaching foundation, we recommend our 200-hour course first, as these shorter courses are focused on specific styles and do not divert into more general aspects of teaching.

I am not very flexible. Is that a problem?

No one can do all the postures, and everyone has their limitations. So, it is not a problem if you are not flexible in body movements but must be willing to learn and develop. This course will teach you to modify and adapt the poses for various situations.

I don't understand English well, can I follow the course?

This teacher training course is taught in basic English because the students come from all over the world. You have a sufficient level of English if you can read and understand an English newspaper.
