Online Trainings Since 2017
In 2017 we decided to provide online versions of our yoga teacher training as we were getting requests from people who could not travel to our ashrams.
I was intrigued by the outcome, so we created this online version to see where the virtual journey would take us. When we announced it on social media, we were bombarded with negative comments; some believed it was impossible to learn yoga online.
The outcome surprised us all. Within the first six months, more than a thousand practitioners had already enrolled in our online training program.
Hundreds of five-star reviews gave us confidence, and regular feedback helped us refine the online course to make it entirely user-friendly, with added value for our students.

I am thankful for the gift of yoga in my life. I’ve been helping people transform their lives with the science of yoga for over two decades, and discover the life-changing gift of yoga for themselves.
After a long and difficult period, I found my purpose when I began teaching yoga, and I love to help people find their joy through the work I do. Now I help people with my 23 years of knowledge and teaching experience so they can find joy and happiness through yoga in a safe and effective manner.
Growing up in India, I assisted many yoga teachers, and I always felt something was missing in how they trained yoga teachers. It is one thing to have a good self-practice and another to have the skill needed to help others.
So I decided to create high standards yoga teacher training courses that will be to the point and will teach the practical skills essential to train and teach efficiently. This is why Arhanta exists.
I see yoga as a way to master the five senses, so I named the ashram ‘Arhanta Yoga,’ the yoga to master the five senses!
This passion to help others succeed drives all of us at Arhanta.

Frequently asked questions
The main difference between Prenatal Yoga and regular Hatha Yoga is that poses and exercises are designed specifically for the needs of pregnant women.
Prenatal Yoga classes typically emphasize safety, using modified Prenatal Yoga poses to accommodate changing pregnant bodies and avoid strain. The practice includes gentle stretching, breathing exercises, and pelvic floor strengthening, all aimed at easing pregnancy discomforts and preparing for childbirth.
Unlike regular yoga, which may feature more challenging poses and faster sequences, Prenatal Yoga moves at a slower pace and excludes positions that could be risky during pregnancy. It also creates a supportive environment for expectant mothers, addressing their unique physical and emotional needs throughout pregnancy.
Prenatal Yoga typically begins in the second trimester, usually after the 12-week scan and with approval from a midwife. We recommend this period because the first trimester carries a higher risk of complications, and many women experience fatigue or morning sickness.
However, regular yoga practitioners who have their healthcare provider’s approval may start Prenatal Yoga earlier—it depends on the mother and their pregnancy journey. The key is to ensure both mother and baby’s safety and comfort when beginning any prenatal exercise routine.
Becoming a certified Prenatal Yoga instructor not only benefits expectant mothers but your career as a yoga teacher.
For mothers-to-be, you provide essential support during pregnancy. Your specialized knowledge helps them maintain a safe practice, alleviates common discomforts, and prepares them for childbirth. You create a nurturing environment where women can connect with their changing bodies and developing babies.
From a career perspective, a Prenatal Yoga certification expands your teaching opportunities. Pregnant women make up a large, always-growing part of the yoga community. Many regular practitioners want to continue their practice safely during pregnancy, while others are drawn to yoga specifically for the benefits of Prenatal Yoga. By offering Prenatal Yoga classes, you retain existing students and attract new ones.
The pregnancy yoga journey doesn’t end with birth. Many women come back after having their babies for Postnatal Yoga, during new pregnancies, or join Mom and Baby Yoga classes. With your skills to help mothers and pregnant women, you’ll be there for them at each step of this special journey.

An online course lets you learn when and where it suits you best. You can study at home, on your lunch break, or while traveling. This flexibility means you can fit the training around your life, not the other way around.
Arhanta Yoga’s Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training online program also offers several unique benefits:
Unlimited access to all video content so you can review lessons as often as needed at your pace. This helps you grasp concepts you might miss in a traditional classroom.
Unlimited personal support, so you can reach out to instructors even after completing the training.
Lifelong access to all materials, letting you refresh your knowledge whenever needed.
More affordable than in-person training, saving you money on travel and accommodation costs.

While this Prenatal Yoga instructor course is designed as a standalone program, we recommend having a 200-hour yoga teacher training under your belt, preferably in Hatha Yoga.
A 200-hour course gives you a solid foundation in asanas and boosts your teaching confidence. It covers a wide range of general yoga knowledge, while this Prenatal Yoga online course dives deep into the specifics of teaching yoga to pregnant women safely and professionally.
That’s why these shorter courses are often called Continuing Education. But don’t worry—if you have experience in teaching, yoga, or pregnancy support, you can jump right into this course without any previous formal yoga education.
After this course, you’ll be a confident and certified Pregnancy Yoga instructor. You’ll have the skills and deeper understanding to:
Guide pregnant students safely through their practice
Craft tailored classes for each trimester and address common pregnancy issues
Use yoga props effectively to support and adjust pregnant bodies
Master breathing techniques beneficial for pregnancy and postpartum
Create a welcoming, supportive environment for expectant mothers
Arhanta Yoga is also a Registered Yoga School with the Yoga Alliance and several other international yoga associations, which means our 85-Hour Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training program isn’t just any certification. When you graduate, you can register as an RPYT (Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher). This certification is recognized worldwide, opening doors for you to teach in studios across the globe.
You can start right after enrolling in the course. There’s also no need to rush. You’ve got lifetime access, so you can even start six months down the road if that works better for you.
As for how long it takes, that’s up to you. Some students finish our Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training online in as little as eight days, while others take their time. We use a drip method to release content, ensuring you absorb the material properly. Most students, studying part-time, finish up in about 2-4 weeks.
Props play a key role in Prenatal Yoga, so you’ll need a few items to follow along with our lessons. Don’t worry if you don’t have specialized yoga equipment—you can easily use household items instead. Here’s what you’ll need:
- Yoga mat (or any mat or large towel you have at home)
- 2 Yoga blocks (or a couple of thick books)
- 1 Blanket
- 1 Yoga bolster (or 2 bed pillows)
- 1 Yoga strap (or a towel/long scarf)
These props will help you understand how to support and adjust pregnant bodies during practice.
This online course covers 85 hours of study and practice time. If you are registered with Yoga Alliance as an RYT, you can also claim these hours as Continuing Education hours.
Throughout the Prenatal Yoga online course, you’ll find simple quizzes to check your understanding and learning so far. There’s also a final exam at the end. You will need to pass them to complete the course, but you can take them as many times as you need.
We’ve set it up this way to make sure you have a solid foundation of the pregnant body and how to teach and modify Prenatal Yoga classes for various students.
Once you’ve completed the last chapter and passed the final exam, your certificate will be ready for you to download right away. There’s no need to wait or pay anything extra—it’s all included in your course fee.
This Prenatal Yoga certification is accredited by the Yoga Alliance and several other international yoga associations, qualifying you to teach in studios globally.
This course comes with lifetime access to the online Pregnancy Yoga Teacher Training materials and all future updates.

I really liked the course it was clear well done. The teacher is amazing. I really enjoyed and I really appreciated all Lucia’s tips
I loved this course and I especially love about the Arhanta online courses that you can always refer back to the videos, which is super helpfull when prepping classes when you just start teaching prenatal classes. That said, as it is a teacher training I would expect a LOT more assignments to be checked by the teacher. You are for example never checked on your actual teaching.
As a pelvic health experts, I knew already a lot about pregnant woman, but the course is really great and very detailled. Very clear videos, great teaching!
I completed this overpriced €550 yoga course but found it disappointing. Support was lacking (e.g. no webinars) despite website promises. Instructions were inconsistent (e.g. sweating, inversions), with unclear or contradictory guidance. Content had errors, weak explanations, quizes had error "no twists", and sometimes poor English. Final assignments weren’t (properly) reviewed.
I found this online prenatal yoga course very informative, with a good balance of theory and practical guidance. The videos clearly demonstrate class preparation, teaching approach, class setup, and the effective use of props for asanas and resting poses. The well-structured sections also make it easy to revisit key topics when needed.
it was amazing to learn with Lucia ! The structure of the course and the load of information gave me the opportunity to learn at my own pace. Also great as a young mother 🙏🏻
A complete course with great information.
The Prenatal yoga course was very useful for me, I learned a lot, the structure of the course was clear and logical.
I also liked the gentle approach and deep understanding of the subject.
I think I've got everything I need to start teaching prenatal yoga and I am looking forward to learn more at my own lessons from my own students:)
I'm half way through the course. I like how it builds up in information and practice. 85 hours feels like a solid foundation to start teaching Prenatal classes later. Lucia explains everything patiently. Just as I expected from my 3th course with Arhanta. I'm very happy I took the step to continue my education and to be able to do it in this flexible way.
The videos and extensive guidebook were very helpful.
Lucia really put all her expertise and heart into this course! The structure of the course, the holistic approach and the provided material (script and videos) are really good and I feel confident and well prepared to teach prenatal yoga now.
Thank you so much! 🙂
This is a high-quality and well-organised course that also helped me consolidate my learnings from my previous 200-hour teacher training. Lucia is a really professional teacher who cares that her students learn well in order to practise safely. Nothing is skipped or rushed. The exam is also well structured to help revise and apply the learnings to real life scenarios. Highly recommended.
The course is very complete and offers a lot of very useful knowledge. I feel very confident about teaching after completing this course!
Very detailed, a lot of material. As with every other online education - you should bring experience in giving classes..
As long as I am learning within this course, I am more than happy to have started it. I am grateful there is people able to teach others to move the knowledge and health and love around the world. Thanks Laura for your teachings, I am really enjoying it!!
I learn so much from this course. Everything was interesting and good explained.
Thank you very much for the quality of the course. I'm very pleased, it is clear and very professional. I really recommend it!
Thank you so much for structuring such a detailed, comprehensive thus easy to absorb and understand for all levels. I am 200 hrs. for 16 years and 500 hrs. RYT for 3 years so it was pretty clear for me but surely it would have helped the beginners with lot of clarity.
Thank you @Lucia, you are absolutely authentic, very articulate and an expert on the topic. Insha’Allah we will be in touch in fut
thank you for the detailed explanations and practices <3 the course is structured really well and clearly to understand. Namaste
I have done two other prenatal yoga courses but I needed something to prepare me to actually teach. This course is clear, to the point and gave me tons of practical ideas to teach prenatal yoga in a fun and inspiring way! Thanks Lucia and thanks Arhanta Yoga!
I am currently taking the "Yoga for pregnancy" Online Course with Lucia Seglie and I am so glad, that she is such a support and professional teacher, even though we never met in person. You can really feel, that working with women, with pregnant women is Lucias passion and it is infectious for me!Also the e-learning platform is very professional and the topics are in small steps. Amazing!
I really enjoyed the course. Lucia is an absolut expert in this topic! She has so much experience, she knows exactly what can happen or not in a class and gives you all of the information! What I also enjoy is that every time I m not sure before a class, I can access to my course and just check! It gives me confidence.
I am so happy I found the prenatal training with Lucia. the course structure is so good, the videos, practices, detailed technical information is beyond my expectations. I'm really happy I could learn from her.
Lucia is also very open, the live webinars are very interesting, and even a personal mail to Lucia will be answered soon.
happy me 😉
The course offers complete education from anatomy to how to be a great teacher and Lots of beautiful material to use for marketing and educate your upcomming students.
Nice course, Lucia is clear in her explanation and she answer quickly in case of doubts.
I would only suggest to review the alignment between the voice over and the slides in some videos or between the order of the videos and the order in the manual. There a few misalignments which are not nice and make it more difficult to follow.
I would recommend the course
